Biometric surveillance and Immigration

This area of research focuses on the use of biometrics (e.g., DNA, facial recognition technology, iris scans, and fingerprints) in immigration contexts. I have primarily relied upon law and policy analysis to understand how the U.S. government authorizes and justifies widespread biometric surveillance of non-U.S. citizens, but I aim to pursue future empirical research in this area through qualitative data analysis.
